Polio Vaccine
This is a single antigen polio vaccine. A valuable product that is inactivated which means there is no risk of passing polio virus in the stools as was the problem with the previously available live polio drops.
The initial course is three vaccines given 4 to 6 weeks apart if you or your child has never been vaccinated against this horrible disease. Booster doses are advisable initially after 3 years (and subsequently 10 yearly if you are in a high risk area of the world).
